I’m so confused. I don’t know how to describe my feelings other than with that word. Let’s see if I can find a metaphor to do my feelings justice. First, a bit of background may be necessary. It’s a really cold day, so I’m trying to get my heating working. Every time I turn it on, though, the house seems to get colder. Okay, with that out of the way, let’s see if I can say something that actually makes a bit of sense. Oh, also, I suppose I should mention that this is a split system, not central ducted heating. Melbourne is my city of residence, if that helps at all.
So, I’m feeling a bit like a ruler that is stuck deep in the sand. Does that make any sense? Probably not. By ruler, I’m not talking about a medieval king or anything. I mean more of a ruler that kids take to school. You’re probably wondering what I could possibly mean by that. It doesn’t seem to make much sense. Let me describe it more. I’m a ruler stuck in the sand, kind of similar to how King Arthur’s sword was stuck in the stone. Maybe someone could pull me out if they were the chosen one. But what does that have to do with the fact that I may need to find a business that can help with heating repairs for Melbourne homes? Read on and find out.
I don’t really know what I’m doing with regards to the heating issue. So, you could say that I am way in over my head. My head is buried in the sand, you could also say. Like a ruler stuck in the sand. Are you following me here? If someone was to pull me out of the sand (say, a heating unit technician, through professional repairs), I would be free from my entrapment. I think that makes perfect sense. It may not be the best metaphor, but I think it gets the job done.
